Britain now burning with fear

What happened in London is terrible.  Whether or not it was supported by Al Qaeda is still somewhat up in the air.  However, despite this, the bombings in London show that no one is immune.  Roughly 90% of the British population was against Blair's war in Iraq when the invasion began.  Today, most of America is against the Iraq war, and most feel George Bush is an incompetent president.

However, we need to realize that simply because most Americans are against the war that it doesn't make any of us safe.  Bombs don't pick out hawks from doves. My brother said this to me this morning, and it rings as true now as it did a year ago; how many bin Laden's were created in Fallujah?

How many were created in Afghanistan?  Monsol?  Baghdad?  How many were created when they saw the images of Abu Graib?  The group claiming responisibility for this attack in London states quite clearly:

Nation of Islam and Arab nation: Rejoice for it is time to take revenge against the British Zionist Crusader government in retaliation for the massacres Britain is committing in Iraq and Afghanistan.

So, what can we expect from this bombing?  Well, expect more anti-Arab and Islamic sentiment from Red America.  Expect Bush to make an idiotic, repeative speech that will cuase his numbers to hover around 50% for about 3 months.  Expect the Republicans to shout from the mountains that London is THE reason fighting in Iraq is so important, even though such a statement makes no sense.

But, most of all, expect more innocent people to get caught in the crossfire of this political cockfight we call the "War on Terror."
