New DNC website

I must say, the new DNC site is a vast improvement over that other thing they had.  Democracy bonds is an excellent idea, allowing people to donate $20 or $30 bucks a month to the party, making this a truly grassroots party that is not owned by corporate goons.

I also like the new "about" section, outlining in just a few sentences the goals of the party:

For more than 200 years, the Democratic Party has represented the interests of working families, fighting for equal opportunities and justice for all Americans.

Today, Democrats continue that fight with a firm commitment to the values that we all share as Americans: a secure nation that leads in the world, strong economic growth and new jobs, affordable health care for all Americans, and a better education for our children.

More...Say what you want about Dr. Dean: he's doing a great job so far.  GOP poll numbers are down, Dems are bringing in cash, and the base is highly, highly motivated.

Oh, and a quick update re: Swing State's state Democratic party website blog plan: I'm organizing an Indiana Democratic Party blog very, very soon.  I'll post news about it when it is live.  Myself and three other gents with post and update it with Indiana Democratic party news, dirt on Rethugs like John Hostetler, Chris Chocola (who once said environmental groups like Sierra Club were terrorists and should be treated as such), and our favorite boy: Gov. Bitch Daniels (whose approval ratings continue to nose dive).

If you wish to help out in developing this Indiana Dem blog, or you have an interest blogging, let me know.  Indiana is one of the reddest states in the Union, even though the state has had great leadership from Democrats like Andy Jacobs and Evan Bayh ( we're glad he plays for our team, but we sometimes question his committment to a progressive American agenda).  We Indiana Dems just have no place to call our own because our party has never invested in us.

Perhaps, if we get this started, Dr. Dean will invest in Indiana Dems.

Peace, in Iraq.
